PrimaPure human marrow stromal cells (HMSC) are isolated from normal fetal human bone marrow. They are cryopreserved at second passage and can be cultured and propagated for 10 population doublings. Bone marrow stromal cells have the ability to self-renew and differentiate into cells of various connective tissue lineages, such as bone, cartilage, and fat. The potential of HMSCs to maintain multipotency and proliferate extensively in vitro provides new avenues for cell-based therapy in the restoration of damaged or diseased tissue. Each lot of PrimaPure HMSC"s is tested for its ability to attach and spread on standard tissue culture grade plastic surfaces and proliferate in Marrow Stromal Cell Growth Medium

* Each Complete System contains an ampoule of cryopreserved cells (> 500,000 cells), 500 ml Marrow Stromal Cell Growth Medium, and a Subculture Reagent Kit (including 100 ml each of HEPES Buffered Saline Solution, Trypsin/EDTA, and Trypsin Neutralizing Solution). |
Cells are cryopreserved immediately after purification and delivered on dry ice. Place cryovials immediately in liquid nitrogen upon arrival. Store the growth medium at 4°C in the dark. Store the subculture reagent at -20°C upon receipt and at 4°C upon thawing.
